About Me

Hey, my name is Lucy Hale (fun fact: my birth name is actually Karen Lucille Hale, but I like Lucy better). I was born on the 14th of June 1989 in Memphis, Tennessee and haven't stopped singing since. Legit, when I was little all I ever wanted to be when I grew up was a singer. My biggest inspirations were Faith Hill, Shania Twain and the specific song 'Baby One More Time' by miss Britney Spears. I got my first lucky break back in 2003 when I was 13, when I got a spot on the television reality singing show aimed at teens called 'American Juniors'.

After American Juniors, I started to guest star randomly in a few television shows on Disney Channel and Nickelodeon (Wizards of Waverly Place, Drake And Josh, Ned's Declassified) before moving on to guest spots in 'How I Met Your Mother' and 'The O.C'.

I was also apart of the NBC's remake of the Bionic Woman, that being the first time I appeared on screen in a main role (despite the fact it only aired for 8 episodes).

I then made my debut on the big screen in 'The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2' as Effie.

Although, I would say I got my real big break when I got one of the main roles in Privileged, as Rose Baker. I was in Privileged for about a year, although it was really popular (despite it being cancelled).

But as they say, when one door closes, another one opens, and boy did that door open with a bang. I started getting offered parts (prior to auditioning), and was offered 2 parts in TV movies called Sorority Wars and Fear Island.

I also did a few guest starring roles in Private Practice and CSI Miami. Little did I know that these would be the last guest starring roles I would ever get.

Not long after, I auditioned for the role of Aria Montgomery in the upcoming ABC family production of Pretty Little Liars. When I was lucky enough to get the role, that was what really kickstarted my career in the film industry (and probably why you guys have heard of me today).

As we all know, Pretty Little Liars is still going (and comes back in January next year, yay!), but I have been able to cross film (meaning film some other stuff as well). Since the show's initiation, I have been in A Cinderella Story: Once Upon A Song, Scream 4, and was even able to host my own episode of Punk'd.
